"The meeting before hand was great. You really made an effort to add creative ideas and really made our ideas come alive which made it so personal for us.

The dinner music and night activities was wonderful. People commented on how much fun they had."

DJ Conference 2010 Day 1

Day 1 of the Mobile Beat DJ Conference in Las Vegas was informative, but I'm really looking forward to the next two days.  Today was much a review of things I have learned at past conferences.  The next two days bring the exhibit hall and more focused topics.  Check back to see what I've learned to make my service better for my customers.

What I'll be learning at the DJ conference

The DJ conference seminar schedule has been posted.  Here are some of the topics of the seminars I'm looking forward to attending:

  • Interactive games and activities, with special emphasis on adding photos, video and other visual effects
  • Using creativity, theatrical concepts, and a flair for the dramatics to turn old routines, boring music and tired concepts into fresh ideas that can directly translate to happier clients and better parties
  • Create emotion with uplighting
  • Conventional lighting design
  • Photobooth service introduction
  • Taking events to another level with video
  • Strategies to turn websites in to tools for customers
  • Game show mania
  • Laser design and safety
Be sure to check back February 9-11 for comments from the conference.

I will be attending the 2010 Mobile Beat DJ Conference in Las Vegas in February 2010.  This is one of the largest DJ conferences in the nation where hundreds to thousands of DJ's gather each year to network and learn more about the industry and how to better serve our customers.

I am hoping to return from the conference with fresh ideas including, how to make my website more useful to my customers, new interactive activities for all ages, and how to use new lighting technology to help set the mood.

This is not the first DJ Conference I've attended.  Here is just some of the other training I've attended:

  • Mobile Beat DJ Conference 2001 - Chicago
  • Mobile Beat DJ Conference 2002 - Las Vegas
  • Mobile Beat DJ Conference 2003 - Orlando
  • MAPDJ Conference 2003 - Minneapolis
  • Let's Get Interactive Workshop with National Entertainer Todd Mitchem
